On the 14th of December 2025 two attackers took up a position on the Bondi footbridge and opened fire on Jews attending a Hanukkah event.
The attackers names were Sajid Akram and Naveed Akram, a father and son duo.
Sajid had immigrated to Australia from India in the nineties.
The pair had recently visited Islamic State hotspots in the southern Philippines and were found to have homemade Islamic State banners.
Naveed had previously been flagged by Australian intelligence for associating with an Islamic State cell in Sydney.
Despite this, the foolish Australian authorities allowed these two men to legally access firearms.
New information, though contested, has recently come to light about Australian police and intelligence failures.
Australia awaits the results of an official inquiry into the event.
