Rebuilding Syria

After decades of civil war and conflict rebuilding Syria is a daunting task.

The Syrian government is aiming to redevelop Aleppo, which was once Syria’s largest city.

Conflicts for control of much of Syria still rage, with the new government battling the Kurds and other rogue groups throughout the country.

The large Syrian diaspora in Türkiye and Europe does not want to return to a ruin.

Thus the former Assad regime has left the country in a dire predicament.

The reconstruction of this once vibrant centre of Islamic learning will take many decades.
