Modern Muslims could learn a lot from the 14th Century travels of Maghrebi explorer Ibn Battuta.
He travelled across the Sahara to West Africa and Mali. He travelled east as far as India and China.
When he retuned to his native Morocco his adventures were recorded for posterity.
For the Holy Quran says, “O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may get to know one another.”
Muslims should travel the world to experience the Umma and learn from each other.
If Ibn Battuta could do it in the 14th Century we can do it today.
